MEDIA

Compressed B100.png

Throughout the year we used Facebook, Instagram, our website to update our members about different events. Following on from inspirational backdrops created, posts for these events were designed that caught the eye and appealed to a wide range of students.

In order to raise the awareness of the multiple events throughout the year as well as the annual ski trip, the media outreach was very important, I focussed on creating posts that stood out from the rest, whilst being informative and easy to read.

A 2 metre banner was also printed for events as well as matching leaflets.

FLYER

I designed a leaflet to be handed out at the start of the year in freshers' accomodation making people aware of the club and up-coming events. For this year I have designed specific logos for each event to make them stand out.

SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS

Below are posts that have been created for the Snow Club’s social media pages advertising various events and information for the members.

CLUB ADVERT

This video was posted on Facebook and Instagram to prospective members that hadn’t yet signed up to be a member but had decided to follow the club. It advertised key reasons benefits for joining.

RACING AND LESSONS

To advertise the snow based activities the club holds, I created this video to show where and how often lessons are held for those who want to learn. Then, for those who want to race for the club this year, what races we enter and their dates.

LOGO RE DESIGN

Over the summer I have redesigned the club's logos and social media - completing a well needed, modern refresh. Below you can see how I changed the design and created specific logos for each event to distinguish them.

As a reference, on the left you can see the original logo. I changed the club's font to a more modern design and then developed the three logos on the right. I didn't like the way the mountains were originally cut by the words so I started with the design for the logo that would be used on the back of the clothing. I re-drew the mountains and then used the circle around them to make sure the design still held some of it's heritage.

Once the back logo was completed I created the 'stamp' that would need to be used for social media accounts that require a circular profile picture and also as a sticker in the 'fresher's packs'. Finally, I designed the 'ASC badge' this would be used on the front of the hoodies.

EVENT TITLES

The new logo was also accompanied with a suite of themed logos specific to each separate event.
