PROFILE

With a skillset built on a wide range of practical experience over seven years, I thrive on the challenge of exploring the demands of a product, alongside the opportunities it presents to the end user. Using a balance of pragmatism and disruption, my goal is to create design solutions that provide tangible benefits. I endeavour to deliver well rounded, carefully considered solutions.

Working closely with a broad range of clients, I have successfully designed product and branding solutions with elevated industry trend awareness.

 

Experience

 

STUDIO MANAGER, September 2025 - Present

  • Redesigned the submission system for all new design briefs, gaining responsibility for the initial evaluation, creating an easier document to both write into and for the design team to work from

  • Managed the workload and performance of the Design Studio, assisting in concept creation and organising relevant information to inform solutions

  • Collaborated with the Directors and Project Management to create proposals and client pitch documents for a range of automotive customers, ensuring design solutions and client benefits are appropriately positioned

  • Created critical design input to solutions, ensuring the final product fully meets client expectations in an efficient and effective manner

  • Provided support for on-site builds and client relations

SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER, 2019 - 2024

  • Management of the Creative Design team responsible for successful product delivery into a wide range of sectors and high profile applications including the GB Paralympic Snowsports team

  • Internal and external key stakeholder management; developing and delivering proposals to prospective clients, established partners and internal senior leadership meetings

  • Created a recognisable visual language and signature brand traits for internal products and the company’s Technology Innovation Centre and UK Headquarters

  • Inputted to internal innovation projects including electric vehicle platforms, providing ergonomic feedback, visual cockpit and bodywork design for automotive programmes

  • Created a consistent corporate identity by establishing brand guideline alignment across corporate merchandise, product datasheets, informative and creative graphics

  • Designed brand-rich bespoke assets including a Formula E livery which drew on the business’ rich product heritage and innovative thinking

  • Ensured visual language expertise, user interaction and component architecture were considered in a variety of engineering projects

  • Creating concepts and photo realistic renders to bring to life new technologies using Siemens NX, Solidworks and Keyshot

 

EDUCATION

transport product design, 2015 - 2019

1st Class (Hons)

  • Learning the fundamentals of industrial design and gaining key automotive skills such as proportions, packaging, rendering and clay modelling

  • Weekly design and engineering team project and solution delivery across a wide range of briefs, supporting development of communication across diverse teams

  • Course culminated with an automotive dissertation and project for which I developed a modular SUV solution awarded the ‘Certificate of Excellence’, winner of Aston design week

    Within the course I completed two engineering and design placements:

    BMW MINI: June 2016 - August 2016

  • Led root cause investigations, identifying rectification actions for manufacturing faults at Plant Oxford for vehicles delivered across America and Asia

  • Introduced trend analysis and reporting to improve manufacturing efficiency with recommendations presented to department heads

  • Developed recommendations for manufacturing process, including factory operational changes and the re-design of parts

    Hogeschool Utrecht: September 2017 - June 2018

  • As part of a multi-national student team, developed real world solutions for a range of companies – taking design briefs from concept all the way to implementation

  • Studied courses on Change Management, Innovation, Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility

SECONDARY EDUCATION, 2008 - 2014

  • Honing my Art, Graphic and Product Design skills, ensuring I had the best possible understanding of form, function and user experience. To back up my design studies, I also took Physics in order to have a deeper understanding in engineering, materials and mathematics - ensuring my ideas were always viable

  • Media and Merchandise Secretary for University Snow Club, winning committee of the year in 2019

  • Charitable work including ‘Land’s End to John O’Groats’ raising money for Parkinsons UK and five marathons in five days raising £40,000 for Click Sargent

  • 4 years as lead bass drummer with Dollar Academy Pipe Band, winners of the 2014 World & European Championships for which I received Cultural Colours for my contribution

  • Duke of Edinburgh’s Award holder: Bronze, Silver and Gold

  • Full, clean driver’s license since 2014
